Google Image Labeler!

Google found a very creative and entertaining way of labeling images and enhancing images search results. Its called Google Image Labeler , and it is (you might say) a "game".

"You'll be randomly paired with a partner who's online and using the feature. Over a 90-second period, you and your partner will be shown the same set of images and asked to provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see. When your label matches your partner's label, you'll earn some points and move on to the next image until time runs out. After time expires, you can explore the images you've seen and the websites where those images were found. And we'll show you the points you've earned throughout the session.¨

I played this game and found it extremely addicting, Google still has to improve some stuff through, some images are just too small to make any good labeling possible, but overall it is a enjoyable experience.

This type of game is sometimes called a ESP game, according to wikipedia "The idea behind the game is to use the computational power of humans to perform a task that computers cannot yet do (in this case, labeling images) by packaging the task as a game."

"According to the game's creator, if the ESP Game gains popularity comparable to other online games, all images on Google Images could be labeled in just a few months."
